In this 2-Day Pyrolysis-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry training course, you and your team will develop practical skills in Pyrolysis-GC/MS operation, method setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and data analysis through training customized around your laboratory’s Frontier pyrolyzer, GC/MS system, and applications.

This instructor-led course is designed for beginner or experienced Py-GC/MS users and can be tailored to your team’s equipment, software, sample types, and training objectives.

Typical Topics

• Pyrolysis-GC/MS theory and system components
• Evolved gas analysis, flash pyrolysis, thermal desorption, and other operating modes
• Frontier columns and accessories, including the Vent-Free MS Adapter, Cryo-Trap, Carrier Gas Selector, and Selective Sampler
• Method creation using the Frontier control software and GC/MS acquisition software
• Sample preparation, method selection, and sample analysis
• Routine maintenance of the pyrolyzer, GC inlet, and Auto-Shot sampler
• F-Search data analysis, library creation, and library searching
• Troubleshooting leaks, performance issues, and common operating errors
